Book Description
"It is impossible to remain unmoved by Gregory's emotional, open memoir of surviving the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013. . . . This is a truly feel-good book that doesn't stint on the challenges that life throws at us."--Publishers Weekly, starred review ***** On April 15, 2013, Rebekah Gregory and her five-year-old son waited at the finish line of the Boston Marathon to support a friend who was running. When the blasts of terrorists' homemade bombs packed with nails and screws went off three feet away, Rebekah's legs took the brunt of the blast, protecting her son from certain death. Eighteen surgeries and sixty-five procedures later, her left leg was amputated. Despite the extraordinary trauma she underwent and the nightmares she continues to have, Rebekah sees it as just another part of her personal journey, a journey that has led her through abuse, mistakes, and pain and into the arms of Jesus. This stirring memoir tells the story of her recovery, including her triumphant return to Boston two years later to run part of the race, and explores the peace we experience when we learn to trust God with every part of our lives--the good, the bad, and even the terrifying. Readers will be moved by the joyous way Rebekah is determined to live her life, seeing every obstacle as part of how God forms us into the people we are meant to be. Readers will also find comfort in the message that it's not what they can or can't do that makes the difference, but rather what God, in his mercy, does through them despite it all. Life is hard, but with God all things are possible.

Book Description
Domestic Violence is a serious issue when dealing with the hands of your abuser. Domestic Violence is a violent or aggressive behavior within the home, church or workplace, typically involving the violent abuse of a spouse or partner. Domestic Violence is also willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/ or other abusive behavior as part of a systematic pattern of power and control perpetrated by one intimate partner against another. I was in an abusive relationship with my abuser for a long period of time. I suffer a lot pain and heartache in the hands of my abuser. He had me brainwashed. He can cheat on me with whomever he wanted too, but I dare not question him why. My abuser told me, “I better not tell anyone and if you do I’ll kill you” Now that stuck with me for a long time. I never told anyone of what he had did to me. I knew I had to fi ght back in order for me to get away from him. None of that worked out for me. He always said the right words to win me back. Yes, I loved him and I didn’t want to see him in jail. I kept everything a secret from my family. I pray that if you are in an abusive relationship to get out and seek help. Yes, he may tell you that he won’t do it again but is it worth losing your LIFE? He’s going to tell you all the good words you love to hear, but is your heart worth losing a BEAT? Don’t be afraid to seek help. It’s up to you to get the help. If you know someone you can trust, please tell them. Always keep a journal of what is going on between you and your abuser. Book Description
Taking You to A Whole New Level in Loving and Appreciating You as You Begin to See Yourself Grow. She is someone who has been on this journey of cycles in which she writes about who has gotten through, who now recognizes there is no need to hold on to pain, but to let it all go—to move on without any shame. She had to learn through betrayal, no matter her relationships, whatever the form it was in or how they may have entered into her life. Whatever the degree of pain, she has had to rid the things that did not feel good or sit right. The feelings of discomfort, insecurity, dishonesty, mistrust, headaches, heartaches—she had to find ways to replace the joy back into her life, getting her faith back and trust in the Creator. She has now set herself free using the mental tools of removing the unhealthy emotional ones out of the way. Finding and being in touch has helped her to be able succeed the journey in which she was once on so much, hoping through her identification will help you do the same. Stop making yourself the one to blame. In her conclusion, she states, “This is what the Creator has done for me. Freedom and destiny has set me free. I no longer give up my dignity; I reach heights of my destiny. For it will and it has always been about me. You too can have the same. You too can be set free, no longer an individual scorn.”

Book Description
Performing ceremonies makes me feel like I have a say in how my life turns out. It makes me feel like I have some form of control in how it all plays out. Taking part in a ceremony means I am asking for help. I put in my request, back it up with the power of my creative intention, and then I try to surrender to the weave already in progress. At least when I am clever, I surrender. Because how I get there or how quickly I arrive is best left in more experienced hands!

Book Description
The Cambridge Edition of Early Christian Writings provides the definitive anthology of early Christian texts, from c.100 to 650 CE. Its six volumes reflect the cultural, intellectual and linguistic diversity of early Christianity and are organized thematically on the topics of God, practice, Christ, community, reading and creation. The series expands the pool of source material to include not only Greek and Latin writings, but also Syriac and Coptic texts. Additionally, the series rejects a theologically normative view by juxtaposing texts that were important in antiquity but later deemed 'heretical', with orthodox texts. The translations are accompanied by introductions, notes, suggestions for further reading and scriptural indices. The first volume focuses on early Christian writings about God's nature and unity, and the meaning of faith. It will be an invaluable resource for students and academic researchers in early Christian studies, history of Christianity, theology, religious studies and late antique Roman history.
